My name is Jodi and I recently became Cabin Crew for Emirates. I’m from Cape Town, South Africa and moved to Dubai on the 13th of January 2017.

I have been documenting my adventures and I have decided to start sharing them with you in hopes to inspire you to travel to a place you've never thought of venturing out into. You can also find some behind the scenes' posts, where I am transparent in some of the lessons I've learnt on this adventure and still learning- that could help you discover the true romance of living your best life!

Feel free to ask me any questions you may have throughout my journey on social media. Please note that my posts are my personal views and do not reflect the views of my company.

I'll really looking forward to sharing some of my layovers with you. So where to begin? Let's start at the very beginning... A layover in my terminology refers to the rest period cabin crew receive between flights. These range from 18 hours, to 52 hours, however mostly 24hours.

I'll also be sharing my multi-sector adventures with you. My first multi-sector was to cities in Australia, New Zealand and Thailand. This means that they will be broken up into segments.

For example, I’ll start my day in Dubai and fly to Brisbane, Australia (DXB-BRN). When I reach Brisbane, after my 24 hour layover, I’ll fly to Auckland, New Zealand (BRN-AKL). Following my layover in Auckland, I will fly to Sydney, Australia (AKL-SYD) and then Bangkok, Thailand (SYD-BKK), before heading back to Dubai (BKK-DXB)

4 different time zones in 6 days... yes, jet lag is a real thing!

I’ve been to some awesome destinations such as Shanghai, Hong Kong and dashing off Mauritius, Athens, Cebu and Colombo soon. I'm really looking forward to sharing them with you in the weeks ahead, and I hope you’ll continue to follow me on my journey!
