ENOUGH

When I was a kid I use to fantasize what it would be like to be a grown up - to drive your own car, to work a job, and have your own money and no one to tell you what to do. In my mind being a grown up was going to be the best thing ever...

Now at 23, I'm living overseas by myself, running my own home and I have my own job, yet I still feel like a little girl, far from the perfect picture I drew. And one of the reasons I still feel like a total kid in my mind is because I get trapped into that pattern of comparing myself to other people. When I log onto Facebook and Instagram and look at other people my age, in my job, in a relationship - and I think wow, she has it all together, gymming, working... or she's accomplished alot and is going to be really successful one day, and she's just really beautiful and confident... and then there's me.

Sometimes it can feel that who I am is not enough for the jobs I've been given, and how can I ever rise up to the assignements that has been placed in my heart. I know everyone has different situations, but we all feel at times that we don't feel good enough, and when do we actually "feel" like the right person for this job? Sometimes we just need little reminders...

1. Remember who you are:

When I don't feel enough, it is usually when I am focusing who I'm not, rather than who I am. We can make a list of all the reasons why you are not the person for the job, or feel inadequate for what is planted in our hearts. But you are God's chosen instrument for this assignment, He has made you perfect in His image and planted you exactly where He needs you. And when you make a list of praise worthy things in your life, how you are highly favoured and how God has done great things in your life and the mighty deeds He has performed in your life.. you will realise, that you are blessed and enough

2. Keep moving towards your mission:

Sometimes we can feel so lost and there are times in our life when our momentum comes to an end. We've lost our perspective and we're left wondering what the next step is. But I believe that God sometimes says go back and do the last thing that I told you to do and He will give you the next step when you get there. Sometimes we are always wondering what the next step is, when God says, "wait, I've already given you a step you need to follow". There's a reason why God doesn't lay it all out for us - I would personally get an anxiety attack knowing everything about my future. But you just need to trust that as long as you have life and breath, God has a plan for your next step.

And I still get those voices of whether I am enough, but I'm learning. At the end of the day, all that God wants you to do is learn... to keep asking for directions from the Holy Spirit when you feel overwhelmed and to just keep reminding yourself of who you I am, and what your mission is!

Remember your best is yet to come
